A little bit about me...

I am originally from Romania but I have been living in United States for the past 5 years. I know one of the questions that I get asked immediately after I meet someone is "Why did you move here?".  Before I'll answer that I have to talk about my middle school geography teacher first. She had an unconventional teaching method. During class we would look at a map, pick a country at random and discuss what we thought the climate, flora, fauna and agriculture consisted of for that country based on its location and what we knew about the surrounding countries.   This teaching method increased my curiosity and made me go home and daydream about far off places that I would like to see.  A map was all I had because other information was limited by the communist government in charge at the time.
The adventures that I took using maps in middle school turned into hiking trips through the Carpathian Mountains and around Romania during high school. When I got to college I was ready to see the world. Mostly all my travels were during my summer breaks. I spent one of the summers in Sweden volunteering for the scouts.
The first time I came to United States was through with a "Work and travel" program for students. I worked that summer in Crater Lake National Park, OR and was there where I fell in love with someone.  I returned to the US a year later after graduating from college and have stayed here ever since.
I travel everytime I have an opportunity and recently I discovered a passion for photography. I have purchased  a DLSR camera that I am still learning how to use, below you will find some pictures that I have taken with my new camera.
